Who Are We?
WFPD is a women’s welfare organization dedicated to empowering women and vulnerable communities in Mandera County and neighbouring areas. We address gender inequality, poverty and social exclusion by expanding access to opportunities, resources and fundamental rights. Through community-led projects, we strengthen livelihoods, promote peace, prevent violence against women and girls, and provide humanitarian support. We also collaborate with local communities and development partners to create sustainable change across the region.
OUR VISION
The marginalized and the vulnerable groups in Mandera and beyond embrace and appreciate peace and economic development through lobbying, networking and advocacy.

 WFPD will mainly focus on targeting the women and how their role in conflict management peace building and resilience can be enhanced in the triangle.

This is a cross-border project seeking to enhance peace and stability, and strengthen social and economic dynamics, in the border areas between Kenya, Somalia and Ethiopia
